A total of 500 professional attendees (face-to-face and virtual) and 240 registered companies have allowed the 4K HDR Summit 4K HDR sign record figures coinciding with the celebration of its tenth anniversary. The Cartuja Auditorium, located in the Cartuja Science and Technology Park in Seville, received 400 professionals during the two days of a summit already consolidated as a benchmark meeting of 4K and 8K worldwide in which presentations and demonstrations of leading companies have been developed, in addition to an exclusive networking.
A total of 66 experts from 19 countries: 11 from Europe (Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Andorra, Portugal and Russia); 4 from America (United States, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina) and 4 from Asia (China, Japan, India and South Korea) have shared during four days their experience and vision on the present and future of the most advanced audiovisual technology (UHD/4K, HDR, 8K).
430 companies in the audiovisual ecosystem around the world were represented at the 4K HDR Summit thanks to the participation of the four major international associations such as the UHD Alliance, the UltraHD Forum, the 8K Association and the UHD World Association. The latter based in China, a country that has participated for the first time in this summit, also represented in the face-to-face sessions by the regional association Sichuan UHD Video Alliance (SUVA).
In this tenth edition, a total of 240 companies and entities of the sector have registered, including the production company of the International Olympic Committee (Olympic Broadcasting Services), the Olympic Channel Services or the European Broadcasting Union (EBU); international channels such as the British BBC, the German SWR institution, France TV, RAI, the Japanese NHK, Televisa-Univision of Mexico or Telemundo from the United States; also NASA, as well as national actors such as RTVE, RTVA, FORTA and UHD Spain, among others.
The profile of the attendees at this edition corresponds to CEOs, CIOs, CTOs and directors of Innovation, Business, Product, Strategy and Marketing, as well as consultants and researchers.

The 4K HDR Summit, which coincided with the 21st edition of the Seville European Film Festival, has once again been a meeting point for engineers, content producers and all profiles that make up the extensive ecosystem of Ultra High Definition (UHD), HDR and immersive audio. And it will be again next year, as there are already confirmed dates for the eleventh edition, to be held from 10 to 14 November 2025 in the Cartuja Auditorium, in the heart of the Cartuja Science and Technology Park in Seville during its first two days in person, which will be joined by three more in virtual format.
Spain, at the forefront of Ultra High Definition
The tenth edition of the 4K HDR Summit has placed Seville and Andalusia “in the focus of the audiovisual industry and new technologies related to Ultra High Definition”, as highlighted by the Minister of Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Sanz, who stressed the “commitment to make Andalusia an attractive place to invest and develop the industry at the highest level” and to “be the best set in Europe”. A similar line was expressed by José Luis Sanz, mayor of Seville, who stressed that this summit “places Seville as a meeting point for UHD content” and “capital of the audiovisual vanguard”.
The broadcasting of the Paris Olympic Games in Ultra High Definition (UHD) through La 1 UHD of Radio Televisión Española (RTVE), which has also become the first broadcaster in the world to regularly broadcast the programming of its main television channel in UHD through DTT, was one of the main issues discussed at this international summit.
AI was also a protagonist, with the UHD Spain association presenting its AI and UHD pilot; and with the announcement of the Canal Sur Media and Google project on the simultaneous translation of the upcoming Carnivals of Cadiz.
This tenth edition provided professional attendees with first-hand knowledge of the UHD World Map and the great contrasts in Europe, Asia and Latin America; the new UHD map in Spain in 2025; how the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have been produced and broadcast; that NASA will record its Artemis mission to the moon in 4K and 8K; and the first high-performance CDN (content delivery network) service in Spain, among other news. The event was also attended by the technical directors of the regional television stations, who held the FORTA (Federation of Regional Radio and Television Organizations) Technical Committee as part of the 4K HDR Summit.
